Services:

EMERGE is a group counseling program for men who are abusive to a female partner in intimate relationships, and for gay men and lesbian women who are abusive to same-sex partners in intimate relationships. EMERGE also conducts “Violence is a Choice,” an anger management group, and fatherhood parenting groups; both of these groups satisfy requirements of court/parole or D.S.S. There are separate sessions for men and women in the anger management sessions.

The EMERGE website is an excellent up-to-date source of information on domestic violence programs.

Service hours:

M - F: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Groups meet in evenings.

Requirements / Restrictions:

Client must have been physically, emotionally or verbally abusive to a partner in an intimate relationship for Batterer Intervention. For Anger Management, there must have been non-family-related abusive or violent behavior.

Cost:

Sliding fee according to income for batterer intervention program.
